Racetree is situated approximately 25 kms south of Beaudesert at Innisplain in the heart of Queensland’s premium Thoroughbred country. Nestled between Mount Tamborine and the picturesque Kooralbyn Valley, Racetree prides itself on providing a tranquil environment for the raising of quality thoroughbreds.

Racetree began as an enterprise in mid 2004, and took possession of the property that is now its home in December 2004. Since that time, Racetree has been concentrating on building a high quality broodmare roster, as well as ensuring we present outstanding yearlings for sale at the major yearling sales.

Spread over 320 acres,Racetree specialises in the care of mares and young horses, and gives enormous attention to the proper feeding and exercise necessary to allow horses to grow and develop to maximum potential.

In 2006, Racetree introduced its foundation Stallion, “Greenwood Lake”. Purchased in Kentucky, this stallion is a close relation to Success Express who has been tremendously successful in Australia. Greenwood Lake served his initial few seasons in the USA with good success, and is now producing winners here in Australia.

In early 2007, Racetree added a second Stallion to stand alongside Greenwood Lake, this being the highly successful Australian Classic racehorse, “Hotel Grand”. Having raced in the Classics in Australia, and won Dual Group 1 races, Hotel Grand seemed the logical choice to stand beside his equally well performed imported counterpart.

The third sire on the RACETREE stallion roster is the proven son of Danzig, Monashee Mountain the sire of 2006 Stradbroke Hcp Winner La Montagna Monashee Mountain is one of the most consistent sires in Australia and has produced winners globally in 25 countries. Winners from 800m to 3000m and from two year olds to six year olds.

Racetree will continue to target the quality segment of the Thoroughbred market, and will continue to place the environment for the horses as its major concern. Racetree is after all, Tranquillity for Thoroughbreds.
